LAKE FOREST, California – January 7, 2004 – Telenetics Corporation (OTC-BB: TLNT), a provider of wired and wireless data communications products for customers worldwide, announced today the receipt of an order for approximately $1.6 million from Data Connect Enterprises (DCE), Telenetics’ largest U.S.-based distributor.  The order covers DCE’s anticipated annual purchase quantities during 2004 for many of Telenetics’ most popular models.  Approximately $472,000 of the total order is deliverable during the first quarter of 2004.

Commenting on the order, David Stone, Telenetics’ President and Chief Executive Officer said. “Data Connect Enterprises has been a highly valued partner throughout our four-year relationship.  We are very pleased that DCE has recently expanded the number of Telenetics’ products that they actively market, and we believe that the high level of expertise they have developed in our products makes them an ideal partner going forward.  The size of this recent order is indicative of their increasing activity in Telenetics products, and their commitment to continue to focus heavily on the marketing of Telenetics products in the future.”
