LAKE FOREST, California — January 24, 2002 — Telenetics Corporation (OTC-BB: TLNT) today expanded its wireless data product offering by introducing a new cellular modem. The TCTM-9600, a low cost, highly integrated cellular modem is designed to meet the remote data access requirements of utility substations, vehicle monitoring systems and many other industrial applications.

Commenting on the release of TCTM-9600 cellular modem, Shala Shashani Lutz, President and Chief Executive Officer of Telenetics stated: "This reconfirms our commitment to the continuing development of wireless data products and services as a long-term growth strategy. In October 2001 we released our Omega-CDMA as the first of a series of planned cellular wireless products scheduled for commercial release.
