Bill Kosoff For Immediate Release Telenetics® Announces Availability of its Digital Omega Family LAKE FOREST, California September 9, 2003 Telenetics Corporation (OTC-BB: TLNT), a provider of wired and wireless data communications products for customers worldwide, announces commercial availability of its digital family of cellular communications devices designed for global wireless solutions. Telenetics has leveraged its experience with over 17,000 OMEGA analog cellular communication devices operating in Automated Meter Reading (AMR) applications throughout North America to develop and introduce its digital cellular family for solutions worldwide. Both CDMA(1xRTT) and GSM(GPRS) versions are available now in commercial quantities. Also planned for introduction this year are an analog to digital converter for use with older meter technologies and an 8-port version for multiple meter connectivity. Telenetics Vice President of Worldwide Sales, Bill Kosoff stated: "The new GSM and CDMA technologies, on which our Omega digital designs are based, provide both circuit switched and packet/IP addressability, greatly enhancing the data collection options, speed and accessibility for energy providers and their end customers." "The same rigid standards of design that have produced Omegas reputation for operating in the harshest of temperature, climate and power-input environments remain in the new digital designs. The over 1,000 digital units currently being deployed in the field uphold our reputation for quality. Omega packaging options have been enhanced with availability of the small stand-alone and (socket adapter) mountable size, in addition to the traditional size that allows for multiple meter connectivity and optional back-up battery. We have also recently introduced an OEM version for internal packaging of TCP/IP capability within a broad variety of meters and other instruments serving the utility industry." "The introduction of the CDMA and GSM models to our product line combined with our reseller partner channel in 188 countries worldwide allow for international sales and support almost anywhere in the world."
